After my MBA, I worked as an internal consultant within Eircom telecommunications (Now Eir). Within this role I had to lead teams from Accenture and PWC for cross functional coordination of core and retail provision and repair with additional focus on broadband roll out. The role was to transmit the corporate strategy to operations, resulting in significant efficiency savings.In Overseas Mortgages Direct, I opened operations in 18 countries to facilitate lending to developers and individuals within the property market. This meant also the local accountancy and tax laws. At its peak, the company was the largest broker non resident mortgages in Europe, employing 82 people.Within my current role, in the third highest ranked hospitality school, I am a senior lecturer responsible for finance, statistics and strategic planning specialising in the hospitality industry.I am resposible for a series of projects designed in integrate with the industry. These include feasibility studies for the development of new restaurants for the La Sala group, design and transformation projects for the Marbella Club hotel and Nobu hotel, Marbella as well as designing the Marketing strategy for the opening of a rural hotel in Mijas. The projects also include the establishment of entrepreneurial ventures for students. The projects resulted in over 50 job offers and over 30 students being employed.I have also arranged training trips for students to some of the best hotels in Dubai including the Atlantis, Medinat and Bvlgari hotels.In July 2019, I made a presentation to hotel industry leaders in Tbilisi Georgia to overcome the Russian tourism enbargo, including strategis in market diversification and profit maximisation.I created the Entreprenurship secialisation for final year bachelor students and have been actively involved in the creation and growth of the Executive training program in Les Roches, which is quickly becoming the fastest growing sector in the company.
