Founded in 2011, Ovation Partners was an investment manager based in Austin that offered diversified portfolios of private credit investments within the specialty finance market. The firm invested in niche credit markets across the real estate, consumer finance, commercial finance, and litigation finance sectors. Ovation Partners was acquired by BC Partners in 2023.

John was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners (AIP), a division of Morgan Stanley’s institutional asset management business. AIP manages hedge fund and private equity portfolios primarily for institutions globally. While at AIP, John was head of business development where he led sales, marketing, client service, and product development. He was a member of the Executive Committee.
