My duties in the lab included the synthesis and fabrication of nanoparticles for drug delivery applications. I was responsible for learning advanced polymer synthesis reactions, and how to operate a wide variety of polymer characterization equipment in the lab. Furthermore, I was given the task of optimizing many synthetic reactions and attaching a fluorescent dye to my polymers so that they can be visualized for in vivo studies.
