In 2008 I left University to begin what has turned out to be a very diverse career, but with the same thread running through each occupation: how can I help the customer and my workplace?This purpose is what has attracted me to work in the wellbeing sector. From my own experiences, I know how important workplace health can be has been to me personally and it has certainly had a huge the scale of impact it has had on both my career and personal life.Working in educational and business software I have learned how important it is to have a true consultative approach to working with others with anyone is. Hearing and understanding the needs of the person you are speaking to needs is so important to build a solid and long-lasting relationship. I believe this approach is key to success in all elements of business; we can only grow by listening and learning from each other.My dream of becoming a teacher was realised in 2017 after completing my PGCE. It is without a doubt one of the most rewarding, formative and challenging experiences I have ever had and has changed the way I approach life.Something I realised after leaving the school sector was that there simply isn’t enough support available to people in all different walks of life working under what can be incredibly difficult circumstances. I felt at the time that automation through technology was the way forward and this has clearly been proven through the pandemic.
