  I serve as the senior health physics reviewer to the Radiation Control Support Division in all aspects of radiological training. I review and interpret corporate training information for “train the trainers” instruction. I overview and grade drill/exercise emergency response actions of shipyard technicians, health physicist, managers as well as naval officers and enlisted personnel. I perform final DOT, NRC, EPA, IATA, State of Maine, and State of California compliance review of shipyard transportation of radioactive material as well as all mixed waste shipments. Major Accomplishments: 1) Developed and presented initial “train the trainers sessions” for new dosimetry equipment and procedures. 2) Critical review of NAVSEA reports to Congress 3) Development of new processes for both technician instructors and production personnel instructors in health physics topics, and 4) Evaluation and recommendations for new training hardware including instrument simulators.
