This permanent role was the first of two engagements.Responsible for corporate-wide expense budgeting. Techno-Functional Lead for the implementation and ongoing operation of PeopleSoft Budgeting 8.3 (Enterprise Performance Management Data Warehouse - EPM/BAM). Troubleshoot PeopleSoft Application-Engine SQL+ code and apply fixes and bundles to update the application as necessary. Use SQL+ to retrieve data, move data, update and add data, and for simple reporting. PeopleSoft functional experience started in March 1998 on the PS 5.12 and 6.0 platforms. Troubleshoot delivered Informatica (ETL) mappings and establish proper procedures for validating and running Informatica maps. Apply skill-set to troubleshoot and enhance PeopleSoft Financials 8.4 accounting applications such as general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and delivered reporting functionality. Techno-Functional Lead for the design and implementation of a custom, web-based budget application using Essbase/OLAP technology (prior to conversion to PeopleSoft 8.x platform). Provide guidance to executives, directors, and managers in support of their annual expense and capital budgeting responsibilities. Guidance includes issues such as payroll increases, incentives, head-counts, additions to staff, capital requirements such as computers, telecommunications, and other business-related cash-outlays. As part of these duties, it was my responsibility to train executives, directors, and managers on internal accounting matters concerning their lines of business. Examples of this training include how to interpret monthly expense and variance reports, and how to utilize the budgeting system to input and obtain reports related to their business groups.
