I am a partner in the Business and Finance Department, Practice Leader of the Taxation Group, and a member of the Trusts and Estates Group. I practice in the areas of tax and estate planning for businesses and families; tax-advantaged financing; joint ventures; mergers and acquisitions (representing sellers and buyers); business formation, financing, and structuring; family partnerships; insurance trusts; and executive compensation.Prior to joining Kleinbard, I was a partner in the Corporate and Tax Departments of Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen LLP, and a shareholder of Horvitz P.C., a boutique firm founded by legendary Philadelphia tax attorney Selwyn Horvitz.I had judicial clerkships with Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., of the United States Supreme Court, and with Judge J. Skelly Wright of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
