After graduating from Valparaiso University (Accounting) with high distinction, Mr. Schillinger worked for Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers, the largest of the "Big Four" accountancy firms and the largest professional service firm in the world). After graduating from the University of Notre Dame Law School and being admitted to the State Bar of California in 1986, he began practicing law in Los Angeles, and there he worked for two of the largest law firms in the country. His practice included defending lawyers charged with malpractice, defending major bodily injury and casualty lawsuits, litigation of major insurance coverage disputes, and advising insurers on insurance coverage obligations.He was admitted to practice law in Florida in 2006 and began in Lakewood Ranch representing individuals facing bankruptcy, bodily injury from accidents and negligence, family law challenges, and other legal matters. His law firm, Schillinger Law Offices, P.A., now serves clients in West Central Florida, including Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, Lakewood Ranch and all of Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
