Working at CMI has been a wonderful experience because it has given me the opportunity to work in many areas of the company. Network administration is first in line, followed by PC support for three locations. South Dakota, Minnesota, and Michigan are where CMI has offices located. Telecommunications, Internet coverage, file storage are stage two of my responsibilities. Computer update and repair and server management in each of these locations is in the top spots too. I have covered upgrades from windows 3.1 thru windows 7 over the years. CMI uses an ERP program for all of its processing needs. Manage-2000 from Epicor, Inc. is the program, Unidata is the language. I maintain a bar coding program that interfaces with our main program. Access and SQL are the main programs used there in the system. I also help with the AR department and bank deposits. My newest hat to wear is buying office supplies for at least two of the facilities. I need not forget the concessions. I do order all the snack foods and drinks for the SD plant and then stock the machines each day. I also run reports at the end of each month for sales reps and managers. I use a Quark program to help me design the company's price book. There are about a dozen sections, half as price sections and the other half are detailed sections of AutoCAD drawn parts in different scales of all of CMI's product line. Currently, I am updating many pages of these sections. Then to fill in any leftover gaps of free time...., I receive calls, like a help desk, with remote fixes or instructions over the phone. I am sure that there are other "hats" I am missing, but all these sure make life interesting.
