Support ORSUI team working with vendor to supply business solutions that meet the needs of the company

Responsible for managing two Application Services Providers (ASP) maintaining and developing solutions which are the basis of the primary insurance applications used to run the commercial lines insurance utlized at Munich Reinsurance America. Additional responsibilities include the development of policy and claims interfaces from various sources (MGA's) into MRAm's data repository. Currently have 5 direct reports providing business anlaysis and testing in dupport of the systems. Responsible for the budget and negotiating fees for maintenance and enhancements.

Began as a consultant in december of 2001 involved with the coordination and implementation of HIPAA X12 transactions and code sets. Was hired as Director inin November of 2003 resposnible for 4 operational areas assuring all work was done on time and within budget. worked closely with Senior Management is setting company wide direction related to Claims Processing, Claims Automation and electronic Data Inter change (EDI) transactions. These areas included Provider File Maintenance, Stop Loss (Reinsurance), Quality Control (Audit) / Claim RefundRecovery and Project Support and Claim System Data Management. Responsible for assuring any change made to the claims system does not adversly affect claim processing.

Head of Quality Assurance/Control for Aetna US Healthcare with offices in Middletown CT and Ft. Washington PA supporting in excess of 300 applications and a budget of approx. $20 million. My main objective was to ensure that new software, hardware and upgrades perform as specified, that IT project requirements are met and that all application standards are specified and followed. This involved Program management oversight for testing projects, reporting project status to senior management and recommending quality improvements. I worked closed with the General Managers of the development teams and business areas to assure a quality product was dilivered within established time-frames. Oversaw the testing of a major e.commerce initiative within Aetna and helped assure Web standards were created and followed. Was instrumental in creating a performance lab and selecting automation tools in support of this initiative. Instrumental in developing the process with offshore development and testing. Oversaw all offshore testing activities integrating the offshore staff with QA teams.
