 Responsible for the financial operations and reporting for 3 battery manufacturing plant (Fort Wayne, IN, San Antonio, TX & Yuma, AZ) with annual volume of over 500 thousand units and gross sales of $228 million in 2015.  Carryout monthly close process in SAP ledger system.  Analyze and explain spending variances, production performance and capital project progress to Plant Manager and Corporate. Preparation of the yearly budget plan including production rates, capital spending, EQU’s, conversion cost and fixed asset spending. Monitor daily activities and prepare weekly forecasts.  Work directly with business unit managers to identify and develop controls and procedures to ensure all risks and opportunities are highlighted. Use financial know-how to improve profits and operations, reduce costs, and develop strategies for the company to increase revenues. Perform book-to-perpetual reconciliation on $7.6 million of inventory. Review and approve all balance sheet reconciliation. Schedule and oversee yearly full plant physical inventory. Monitor open receipts and open PO reports for aged items. Ensure AP issues are resolved in a timely manner. Schedule and oversee yearly full plant physical inventory.  Hired, trained, developed & mentored financial analysts and other controllers.
