As a member of the Leadership Team for Fusion Academy Montclair, I have served as Director of Student Life for over three years. Keeping all stakeholders in mind, I have worked directly with a diverse population of students to aid them in honing and improving their executive functioning skills. I have also maintained close contact and have established meaningful relationships with the families of our students through my work with their children. Planning, promoting and running our Student Programming Events (on-campus gatherings, off-campus field trips and activities, etc.) have allowed me to establish and build a safe and welcoming community for our student body. Individualizing and personalizing my approach with both students and staff have allowed me to develop meaningful connections built on trust, love and accountability. Modeling myself as a leader through my energy, passion and authenticity have inspired an environment for others to strive to do the same. Juggling a multitude of daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks through mulit-tasking, goal setting, forward thinking, and backwards planning have allowed me to set a standard that others can always rely on.

Fostering a welcoming, encouraging environment while educating students ages 10-18 in the 1-to-1 setting. Embracing and upholding Fusion’s “Love, Motivate, Teach” motto each day I step foot on campus and encounter our students and staff. Differentiating lesson plans to best suit each student according to what their MAP’s, Mindprint, Student Snapshots, hobbies and interests, and their educational/mental health background(s) are comprised of, all the while meeting MSA standards to ensure Fusion remain accredited. Checking in on my students’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeings before we begin any lesson. Being a LEAD teacher to two students and advocating for their needs to support their wellbeing and academic success. Sparking new relationships with students on campus that I don’t have on my schedule to promote a healthy, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all to feel as if they matter and are welcomed. Promoting a loving and motivating environment at every chance I get throughout the day on campus, reminding both students and staff that each new day is a fresh start to make a difference and be great.

Making calls in-club and from home to set up appointments to enroll new prospects with memberships and personal training via VFPNext. Continuously building and maintaining relationships with new and current members to uphold an effective Direct Referral program that allows for consistent activations of new membership programs. Educating members, clients, and coworkers of the importance of exercise and nutrition. Working and communicating with the parents of each camper to ensure the safest and most adventurous summer at the camp for each child.
