RESPONSIBILITIES:  Preparing schedule for projects on Primavera 6. Setting targets for weekly percentage completion & preparing the weekly progress of plan & actual completion of work. Preparing daily progress report based on daily work completion of fit up, welding, blasting & painting of spools. Presentation to the client on Power point about the status of their job as & when required. Discussing issues & technical queries with the client so as to remove any bottlenecks. Monitoring & follow up of work based on priority of work for the client.  Interacting with the different departments & making them aware of the target completion dates & work to be completed as per the priority. Analyzing the causes for the delays in the project work & informing the management & client for the same. Preparing Man hrs vs production sheet for Fit up, welding & painting department. Grading the workers related to their performance. Making daily time sheet related to manpower consumption for modification work of spools. Preparing packing list for the dispatch of spools & rack module assembly. Monthly billing of the project based on the work completion (Welding, Painting, Erection, Insulation, etc.) Good communication with the client & other departments within the organization so as to enable smooth flow of work. Preparing BOQ & MTO for spools, fabricated items for purchase of raw materials. Co ordination & follow up on receipt of materials required for fabrication. Raising quotation for structural items, modification of spools, and any work which is not in the scope as per the contract. Calculating storage area of the semi finished & finished goods to charge the client. Preparing the Production orders, Production indents, Progress Report Entry, Weekly Production Schedule in SAP Business One.

 Handling of projects/equipments required in Iron & steel industry this includes transfer cars, ladles, ladle turret, walking beam & other handling equipments including various types of cranes. Preparation of project schedule in MS project as per the despatch date & its monthly updation for sale orders.  Deciding whether to manufacture job inhouse or at vendor by studying the drawings given by the design department. Preparation of routing in JDE for the parts to be made inhouse & giving its estimated time. Processing & planning of long delivery items, giving order requisitions OR’s for various materials in ERP system considering lead time & despatch date of the equipment. Suggesting the designer alternate material for manufacturing. Follow up with Purchase, vendoring department for delivering materials as per planned schedule and issuing it to machine, fabrication or assembly shops as the demand for the material arises and issuing internal material as per planned order release and ensure that right quantity, at right time are issued. Studying of drawings & deciding the scope of work for assembly & fabrication department. Giving solutions to various problems incurred during assembly & fabrication. Controlling of inventory for stores department as per the schedule & target given by the management. Coordinating with the logistics department for the despatch of the equipment & invoicing. Actively participating in Kaizen, TPM & 5S activities.
