Warehouse Team Leader I am responsible for the day to day running of the floor which involves that KPI's are achieved with both pickers and HRT drivers. My aim is the ensure they achieve the targets set to them throughout the shift and run hourly reports. If their targets are not being reached it is my responsibilty to speak to the Team Member to enable them to give a reason why and encourage them to do better as this could have an effect on their OWR targets. I also work in chill chamber were pick and loading targets have to be met and strict deadlines have to be met. I conduct daily audits each day which involve a complete walk of the warehouse ensuring damages, mixed stock, rogue stock are listed and the appropiate action is taken i.e. damages taken away and binned or recouped, mixed or rogue stock is reported to the Inventory Team. An accuracy report is also done each day to ensure correct products (pallets and cages) are sent to the stores. MHE audits are done also and signed by the Team Members so that any faults can be dealt with with regard to their MHE equipment. I have to report to the Manager/Supervisor each hour to give them an update on rates etc and any other general problems that may occur throughout the shift. I am an MHE instructor which involves the training of any new Team Members, doing assessments when their certs are up and doing re-assessments if they have been involved in an incident in the warehouse ensuring that they are competent to resume their duties. I do a daily Near Miss report which highlights any issues throughout the warehouse such as debris on floor, pallets or cages blocking fire exits. I am a trained First Aider with the Order of Malta so I can deal with any accidents that may occur on the site. I have a certificate in rack inspection which involves the reporting of any damaged or dangerous racking throughout the warehouse and is reported to the Health & Safety Manager.
