Consultant for European infotainment project

17 years - As a Development Engineer, I was part of a Global Engineering Team, working with major vehicle manufacturers, including Nissan, Ford, JLR, Peugeot, Subaru, Honda and various SOE/AM developments.My main responsibilities on the OEM side were managing CAD and specification documents for Clarion's customers, preparing and managing test reports, field test support (UK and Europe) - so test and tuning of RDS and DAB using specialist tools, audio EQ tuning, test and trouble shoot activities uses various CAN and SERIAL tools, Bluetooth IOP testing and acoustic tuning, preparing and presenting of design reviews and software update activities.I have also been a Project manager for the development of 2 audio systems for the UK and Europe's Aftermarket.Highlighted skill set• Excellent communication skills • Good knowledge of project management (also studied PMP course)• Proficient PC experience - Microsoft word, project, Excel and power point• Good understanding of trouble shooting from a connected system level to component level• Able to understand a circuit diagram and make small design changes to a circuit• Very confident with face to face meetings and activities with customers• Over 20 years dealing with various customer complaints and fixing them• Over 15 years of radio testing and tuning in the field and on the bench• Good understanding on how to tune Radio Data System (RDS) and how it operates• Good knowledge on how digital radio DAB works, plus tuning knowledge• Good experience of acoustic/audio tuning of digital (CD) and Bluetooth• Good understanding of interoperability (IOP) testing on Bluetooth products• Proficient experience using various test equipment – Digital scopes, DAB generator (using ETI files), RDS and RF signal generators, Spectrum analyser, dB noise meters, multi-meter and Canalyser

Between 1992 and 2001 I worked within the QA and Sales Departments. Main jobs roles in QA, included Testing following customer specifications, and minor calibration work on production lines equipment. Main job roles in Sales, was installation of audio products, preparations of the installation instructions, and direct customer support.
