Founding member of the Graal Cloud Native (GCN) open-source project. GCN is a curated set of Micronaut Framework modules designed from the ground up to be compiled ahead-of-time with GraalVM Native Image resulting in native executables ideal for microservices.Contributor to the open-source Micronaut Framework, a modern, full-stack framework for building modular easily testable microservices and serverless applications. Developed GCN and Micronaut applications in Java, Kotlin and Groovy for AWS, GCP and OCI. Illustrating how to design and implement Java Virtual Machine and GraalVM Native Image applications with cloud-based databases, object storage, secret management, tracing, metrics logging and other modules.

Provided professional services to customers of MarkLogic’s product, including XQuery development, administration, operational support and maintenance activities. Facilitated migration of customer projects to AWS. Coded a framework to automate customer’s manual tasks and code deployments into multiple AWS environments using Groovy, Gradle and Jenkins. Assisted MarkLogic engineering with development of the Java based MuleSoft Connector for MarkLogic and AWS Lambda Python code.

JavaFX application for launch and recovery of a towed submersible on an unmanned surface vehicle, with multiple live camera feeds.Lead for International capture team that created systems ranging from site video surveillance with archive and playback capabilities, a Geographic Information System (GIS) displaying real-time detected airborne targets and tracks, to in-vehicle sensor network using a combination of C# and Java. Software Architect of a Cyber Situational Awareness platform, focusing on real-time decision-making user interface for cyber analyst, using OSGi, Spring, Web-Service, REST and an open source Enterprise Service Bus to create a unique modular application client in JavaFX, including Java server-side components leveraging Apache Camel and NoSQL XML database with XQuery modules.Designed and implemented a C# User Interface (UI), which was configurable and customizable from external XML data files, to monitor the radar operations and status.Researched and developed software solutions for an emergency response system. A JavaFX wrapper for NASA’s WorldWind GIS display designed for touch interface and adapters to external systems to feed the system while supporting internal and external customer demos. Traveled internationally to demonstrate and deploy the system for potential customers.Designed and implemented a Java UI for monitoring and managing operational characteristics of the radar and a C++ commanded and controlled module for the external power supply system.
