Created simulation scenarios, provided mission planning support, setup and tested mission cards in flight simulators in preparation for high visibility FMS demonstrations.

Lead independent testing of F/A-18 and EA-18G Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) software. Responsible for planning overall test approach, test schedule, and creating EVMS plans. Created Software Test Plan (STP), integration test packages and test reports. Performed integration/qualification testing of JMPS software in Mission Planning and Electronic System Integration (ESIL) labs. Supervised testing conducted by less senior personnel and acted as technical liaison between Boeing-St. Louis and U.S. Navy mission planning teams located at Point Mugu and China Lake, Ca. Created training program and presentation slides used to conduct EA-18G JMPS training. Trained flight crews and test engineers on operation of EA-18G software at contractor and government facilities in support of EA-18G ground and flight test program. Acted as mission planning subject matter expert in support of crew training events conducted in Integrated Defense Sim facility. Planned and coordinated move of classified mission planning lab from Building 101 to 302 and accepted additional responsibility as Security Custodian for new lab. Documented test processes that supported SEPG process assurance activity, leading to a successful CMMI level 4/5 assessment. Received a number of awards (including cash awards) in recognition of efforts. Promoted twice in four years by Mission Planning management team.

Responsible for developing and managing software test program for Harpoon Shipboard Launch Control System (HSCLCS) - Block II Upgrade.Created Software Test Plan, analyzed launch system requirements using DOORS and supervised development of automated test procedures used during system testing and FQT. Lead demonstrations and evaluations on development software for US Navy customer during iterative rapid prototyping phase of launch system software upgrade. Briefed US Navy customer on overall test approach and progress of test program during Integrated Product Team reviews. Defined, developed and troubleshot software tools used to analyze launch system data generated during test runs. Wrote final FQT software test report for US Navy review.Completed test program under an aggressive schedule and time constraints to support successful Harpoon Block II missile flight tests. Received numerous positive comments from US Navy customer on conduct and quality of evaluations and FQT program. Given additional responsibility of managing HSCLCS simulation software group, in addition to Independent Test Team (ITT).

Performed testing on AV-8B mission computer hardware/software in both the Avionics Integration Center and flight simulation facility. Supported requirements development, wrote test procedures using DOORS and performed lab test on software using test benches, Common Test Language System (CTLS) and mux monitor. Conducted integration testing and troubleshooting on AV-8B legacy systems (Built in Test, navigation/communication, and flight controls) used to support successful first flight of OSCAR software. Responsible for long range test planning to integrate new systems into AV-8B avionics suite. The new systems included AMRAAM, the ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispensing System (CMDS) and the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS). Received Pride awards from AIC management in recognition of efforts.

Test conductor for Swiss F/A-18 flight test program at MDA – St. Louis and the Naval Air Warfare Center - China Lake, Ca. Performed test planning/scheduling, prepared flight test cards, briefed test pilots, and verified that software configuration and vehicle load out complied with flight clearances. Conducted both flight and ground testing using Swiss and US Navy F/A-18’s. Testing included integration of Swiss unique software into ALR-67 Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), ALE-47 CMDS, and ALQ-165 Airborne Self Protection Jammer (ASPJ).Also, performed integration test flights on the Swiss Low Drag Pylon with AIM-9P and AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles culminating in missile live fires against remotely piloted drones. Other tests included checkout of Swiss unique mission computer software that interfaced with the ARC-210 radios, IFF and Flight Control Computers. Received numerous positive written comments from both US Navy and Swiss customer resulting in Teammate of Distinction Award, presented by Boeing program management. Prior to the Swiss program, performed several on-site flight test avionics modifications to US Navy aircraft at both Patuxent River, Md. and China Lake, Ca. Supervised installation of Advanced Special Receiver (ASR), Combined Interrogator Transponder (CIT) antenna system and upgrades to SUU-63 wing pylons to support Stores Management Upgrade (SMUG) program. Completed MRB training as part of this effort and was MRB certified.

Performed electrical and mechanical acceptance testing during manufacture of Aft Propulsion System for Space Shuttle Orbiter Endeavour and lead development testing on Propellant Tank Assemblies for International Space Station. Test activities included checkout of propulsion system thrusters, propellant feed systems/tankage, continuity checks of electrical wiring and thermal control systems. Wrote and modified test procedures, documented and troubleshot anomalies, provided engineering support to shop personnel.

Supervised installation and checkout of Titan first and second stage liquid rocket engines and turbopumps on engine test stands. Operated firing consoles during engine firings, analyzed post test data and presented final data package to US Air Force representatives. Documented and troubleshot anomalies, assisted instrumentation engineers in automating test stand operations and designed special test equipment to support development testing.

Launch Pad Test Conductor – Planned and conducted testing of launch pad pneumatic, cryogenic and hypergolic systems at west coast Space Shuttle launch complex. Performed verification testing on mechanical, electrical and software interfaces between vehicle and launch control center. Air Force on-site representative responsible for operations required to stack structural verification vehicle, Enterprise and moves of mobile launch pad structures. Completed one year of training (consisting of classes and on the job training) offered by the US Air Force and Lockheed Space Operations Company at Kennedy Space Center and Vandenberg AFB resulting in certification as a Space Shuttle Test Conductor.
