John recently retired as a Principal with the Private Wealth practice of Deloitte Tax LLP where he consulted with ultra-high net worth individuals, families and family offices. John brought over 30 years of experience to the role as Global Leader of Deloitte’s Family Office Services Group. In addition, John was one of the founding members of Deloitte’s National Family Wealth Planning Committee, and he was a member of the Deloitte’s National Estate, Gift, Trust and Charitable Planning Competency Group, responsible for establishing and maintaining the standards of technical competency within Deloitte. John’s practice focused on complex family wealth, governance and succession planning issues. Prior to joining Deloitte, John was a member of a prominent Chicago law firm. He has been a participating member in many regional and national estate planning councils and associations.John served as Advisory Principal for many of Deloitte’s wealthiest family groups.
