I am an experienced Minor League Baseball Executive that helped to establish the Syracuse franchise as a model of consistency for over 30 years. During my tenure the franchise established several attendance records.In 2013, I co-founded, along with my son Alexander, Simone Baseball Performance - a strength and conditioning program that was created and currently managed by Alex. The company is now headquartered in Liberty Hill, TX and provides expert assessment and training for professional, college and high school baseball players improving their strength, speed and explosiveness. Prior to that I spent 34 years (1979-2013), with the Syracuse Chiefs in the International League. In 1996, I was named the teams General Manager, where I managed the business that generated over 4-million dollars a year in revenue. In addition to negotiating a 3.6 million dollar naming rights deal and a $750,000 soft drink sponsorship, I also developed and presented a yearly budget, managed the Food Service Agreement and Stadium Operations.In 1987, the National Association of Professional Baseball awarded the Syracuse Franchise with the prestigious John H Johnson President’s Trophy. In 1998, the International League honored me as the league’ Executive of the Year. And that same year I was named one of 40 under 40 by the Central New York Business Community. During the past few years I have helped Government Agencies and Private Investors with Cost Analysis of new Construction of Facilities and Franchise Acquisition. In 2019, I was employed with the Oneida Indian Nation at both Turning Stone Resort and Casino and Point Place Casino lending my experience with the Food & Beverage Departments. In February of 2021 my journey continued south to Naples FL when I joined the team at Sports Force Parks as their General Manager of an incredible multi-use facility - Paradise Coast Sports Complex owned by Collier County. In November of 2021, the parent company of Sports Force Parks - Sports Fields, Inc asked me to join their sales and construction team. I’m excited to bring my connections in professional baseball and sports to the world of field installation.After three fantastic years working with the folks at Sports Fields Inc., I took my experience and relationships to the folks at ABT, Inc based in Trautman, NC and their subsidiary Sports Edge.
