I am passionate about making a difference to the lives of autistic children and adults, and those with mental health conditions. I am looking for a job where I can combine the writing and research skills I gained at university with my experience working as a carer and an advocate in social care and education settings to develop policy and make transformative changes. Throughout my career I have successfully combined a number of simultaneous job roles with my education. I have a diverse employment history, including delivering autism training sessions and conference speeches to a variety of audiences, including schools, Further and Higher Education providers, social care organisations, and private sector companies. I have also worked in policy development with the Department of Health, in student mentoring, and in frontline social care. Through my working life, and at university, I have developed skills in working independently and as part of a team, exercising judgement, time management, prioritising workload, dealing with stressful situations, and presenting complex information verbally and in writing. I have also developed a website to advertise my training work (www.inspirationalautismtraining.com).
