• Responsible for leading the annual preparation and consolidation of the Company resources and reserves;• Act as Company QP for the purpose of NI43-101 reporting, with respect to the Company’s Reserves, Resources and Technical Reports. Administer and oversee the annual reporting process, including governance, standards and QA/QC. • Oversee the Resource Geology function within the broader Kinross Technical Services team. Develop best practices in the area of resource characterization (such as the KG4 framework), mine geology and reconciliation, and orebody modelling; assist operating sites and growth projects in the development of robust resource models; assess geologic risk and opportunity at each of the Company’s assets. • Provides technical support to project studies, operating sites and due diligence efforts. • Stewardship of global technical best practices and mentoring of site technical services personnel. • Oversee the Company’s Brownfield Exploration program, which accounts for 80-90% of total Exploration spending, accounting for a Brownfield budget of $60-70M annually. Develop Brownfield Exploration Strategy; assist in the development of site and regional level exploration target prioritization; allocate exploration funds and prepare annual budget; provide guidance and direction to Regional Directors of Exploration (RDX) and site-level Exploration Managers.• To develop and execute long-term global Exploration strategies and goals to grow the company’s gold reserves, and to ensure that Kinross meets its strategic objectivesDevelops systems and measures that appropriately assess Exploration performance, and reviews progress to ensure achievement of targets; is accountable for the resultsDevelops a strategy for ensuring the effective implementation and delivery of key global exploration processesSet the overall budget and implementation plan for Exploration, consistent with Kinross’ established financial guidelines and business planning process
