The John Smith Trust inspires and nurtures a collaborative community of leaders and change-makers working on governance, social justice and climate action in Eastern Europe, the Caucusus and Central Asia.We run two fellowship programmes each year for candidates from countries of the former Soviet Union.The programmes are unique and life-changing opportunities. They offer exceptional individuals the chance to gain detailed insights into the values, ways of working and challenges faced by UK institutions. We also create ongoing opportunities for Fellows in our network to connect with and learn from counterparts from the public, private and civil society sectors, as well as high-level leaders, in the UK and across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
