I have been fortunate in my healthcare career to fulfill a variety of roles. First in the EMS realm as a paramedic, neonatal flight medic, DMAT team member, large event EMS Coordinator, NAEMD System Status Controller, and Educator with National Faculty status in all AHA and PHTLS positions. I then moved into the hospital realm to run the Stroke Program for Presbyterian Healthcare Services, and worked with an amazing multidisciplinary team to achieve Joint Commission Accreditation as a Primary Stroke Center, and 4 years concurrent AHA GWTG Target Stroke Quality Awards for the program. I have recently worked with our hospital Incident Command Team to develop surge capabilities during the Covid-19 crisis, and have since moved into the role of system Emergency Manager. My entire career has always been a "Teams Based" approach to problem solving and developing strong multidisciplinary working relationships to achieve quality outcomes.
