I am proud to work and represent an organisation that is successful, and maintains long-term relationships with clients and staff whilst delivering world-class solutions and services.My working life started in the mid-1980s as a junior COBOL software developer working on accounting software in a small rural New Zealand town. Whilst studying part-time I met two people who would make a lasting impact on my career. The first being my future wife and the second being Peter Trumic who would go on to establish Tourplan. That led to my early involvement at Tourplan as a software developer in 1987.Like many kiwis in their 20’s my future wife and I wandered around the world for 3 years. Living and working in London for a period of time before backpacking and touring through Europe, Scandinavia, the Soviet Union, the Middle East., South East Asia, India & Nepal, and overland through East Africa. The interest and enjoyment in travel has remained and we have continued to travel extensively.On returning to Tourplan, my career developed alongside the business and I moved from purely technical roles into ones that whilst being technically based had a growing demand for in-depth business and industry understanding. That led to completing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Canterbury in 1997.I am now the Chief Technology Officer and lead a broad range of technical specialists that are responsible all aspects of the delivery of the product, our infrastructure, technical support, and related services. It’s an exciting and interesting role working alongside some very smart and passionate people who deliver the industry-leading software solution to our global Tour Operator and DMC clients.Outside of work, I love watching my two adult boys make their own way in the world. Enjoy travel, my small collection of ‘interesting/odd’ cars, and generally mucking around in my shed.
