Danvers YMCA has the long standing relationship and physical presence to not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change. Strengthening Danvers, Boxford, Middleton, Topsfield and surrounding communities is our cause and we serve three crucial areas of focus to help individuals, families, communities learn, grow and thrive.The Y is for Youth Development, because we believe all kids deserve opportunities to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Serve over 300-500 kids per day in our preschool & after school programs, swim lessons, summer camps and youth programs. We often find that our Y bridges the gap for childhood friendships.The Y is for Healthy Living, improving the communities health and well-being is one of the Y’s biggest priorities. The Y brings families closer together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. The Danvers Community YMCA has partnered with a number of local education, civic and corporate enterprises to help design the best Healthy Living model possible.The Y is for Social Responsibility, giving back and providing support to all our neighbors. The Y has been listening and responding to our communities’ most critical needs for over 75 years. We are committed to collaborating with other community organizations that make social responsibility a priority, offering assistance to anyone in need, providing both paid and volunteer opportunities, and creating affordable programs for those with special needs . We provide over $170,000 in financial assistance for memberships and programs annually and have collaborated with number of community organizations. We currently supply and support our community with over 90 paid jobs, 190 volunteers with 4250 hours, and offer opportunities to obtain special certifications such as CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, childcare, and babysitting certifications.

The Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce provides services to the Greater Beverly area business community by helping in maintaining a strong economic environment by supporting and encouraging growth and innovative thinking. Our business community and membership leaders include business owners, educators, and a wealth of private citizens who recognize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and stability as well as a healthy environment for business. As a community, we share this vision. We work, we volunteer, we support and serve as we build on the successes of those who came before us and develop new and innovative strategies that will make our business communities even stronger. Our Chamber of Commerce is active in bringing our business communities together through networking events, fundraisers, educational seminars, and legislative series.

The Beverly Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for all member businesses, showcasing Beverly as an ultimate destination while growing the economic development within the community. Playing a critical role in supporting Chamber members as well as the day-to-day operations of the Chamber.Reporting to the Board of Directors (BOD), responsibilities include strategic and tactical direction, financial integrity, administrative, management and overall effectiveness of the Chamber. Responsible for the direction of staff and volunteers in the implementation of programs and activities of the BCC. Uphold the Chamber’s mission to promote and enhance a thriving business community. Working closely with Chamber members, local and state government, businesses and non-profits, with a focus on growth and development within the business community. Note - Beverly Chamber of Commerce regionalized into the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce on January 1st, 2013 serving Beverly, Danvers, Hamilton and Wenham.
