Chief, Recruitment And Workforce Planning Section, And Complement Manager
In my role, I manage our agency's workforce and succession planning programs, which allows me to develop innovative solutions to addressing our agency's workforce needs. Our newest program that began in 2014, School to Employment at PennDOT (STEP), introduces high school seniors to meaningful and applied work through this 9- or 12-month paid co-op program. STEP allows them to enhance their skills by applying them to meaningful hands-on work, learn from the experiences, and be compensated for their work. In addition, I assumed responsibilities for complement management in January 2014 where I ensure that agency positions for both PennDOT and the Department of Community and Economic Development are in line with authorized levels for multiple appropriations as approved by the Governor's Office.
Chief, Workforce Planning And Performance Division
Managed Commonwealth-wide policy and programs for workforce and succession planning; performance management including employee performance review systems and the cash performance system for attorneys; and employee recognition programs including the highly successful Governor's Awards for Excellence.Served as a senior staff advisor.
Chief Of Human Resource Policy, Evaluation, And Programs
Managed numerous Commonwealth-wide policy and programs for areas such as Personnel Management Reviews/Management Consultations, workforce and succession planning including publication of the Governor's Annual Work Force Report, monitoring legislation that affected HR, employee recognition, employee mobility, federal Intergovernmental Personnel Act arrangements, HIV/AIDS education in correctional institutions (jointly with the Department of Corrections), among others.
