The HC&E Facilities were comprised of 2 Light Hydrocarbon units, 3 EB/Styrene units, 5 Power and Steam Generation units, and the Hydrocarbons Storage Caverns and Distribution system (~1000 people).

Led operations of olefins plant until company decided to permanently shutdown unit. Managed safe shutdown and decommissioning. Assisted with redeployment of 60 personnel.

Bahia Blanca, Argentina

Led commissioning and startup new ethane cracker. Developed and implemented commissioning and startup plan. Established all operating discipline elements for future organization/ Achieved 100% design capacity within 7 days of startup.

Freeport, Texas

Became the Project Engineer Flex Cracker Expansion. Led project to expand the plant from 1.5 to 2.1 Billion lbs/yr ethylene production. Followed project through process design in Pasadena, CA, detailed design in the Houston, and field installation / startup. Achieved benchmark rates within 45 days of startup.

Freeport, Texas

Joined plant during early construction phase of new1.5 Billion lbs/yr ethylene production facilty (2 Billion lbs/yr total olefins capacity). Plant is a flexi-cracker unit with a front-end depropanizer design. Plant startup occurred in late 1994. Remained with plant as production engineer.
