My first project required the implementation of an embedded multi-channel cryptographic device. I was primarily responsible for the implementation of our decryption capability in Xilinx FPGA hardware.For eight years I served as lead hardware engineer on a team to produce a set of FPGA-accelerated tools for the search, analysis, and reception of direct sequence spread spectrum signals. During my time with this program I led a team of five engineers and contributed directly to the implementation of numerous digital signal processing algorithms, both in software and FPGA hardware. As chief architect of the FPGA-based heart of our program's capabilities, I pursued the goals of high performance, flexibility, and reusability, to make developed components maximally adaptable to unforeseen problem sets. -
