About John Stagg

I have been a Registered Nurse for People with Learning Disabilities since 1987. After training in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland in Inverness, I moved to the London area and started work in resettling people from a long stay institution. Always being one for a secondment and trying out an experience, I have worked in a variety of settings including community inpatients, education, training and development and forensic practice.Since 2010 I have been lucky enough to enjoy several nursing leadership roles and worked with amazing people. My last full-time job was as a Divisional Director of Nursing & Allied Health Professionals for a Specialist Services Division that included Learning Disability Services, CAMHS inpatients, Adult Forensic and Secure services, CAMHS Secure services and Children & Families Services. I loved this role and the team I worked within and especially enjoyed working with users and staff of these services.I am now semi-retired and working as a Head of Clinical Improvement with focus on Professional Nurse Advocates, Clinical Supervision, Governance of Competencies, Coaching.AREAS OF EXPERTISEClinical SupervisionAbility to motivate othersQuality & Safety developmentCoachingPerformance ManagementNursing Strategy/ development Nursing StandardsService ReviewPractice DevelopmentLeadershipQuality review and service turn around
