John Stead- RetiredFor the past 40 years Mr. John Stead has been involved in the development, management and execution of maintenance programs within the electrical utility industry, the last several as a consultant with KEMA Canada (Digital Inspections). Prior to his present position Mr. Stead was Manager of Asset Management and Technical Specialist for AltaLink Management Ltd. Mr. Stead is Past Chair of the Doble Advisory, Asset Management and Bushing and Instrument Transformer Committees. Mr. Stead worked as a Senior Consultant with Power System Solutions providing Canadian and American utilities guidance in the development of maintenance programs and detailed procedures and is the author or more than 35 technical papers. Previous to that he was with a Technical Services group, supplying technical support to line organization groups of all disciplines with Trans Alta Utilities. The hands on experience gained through the years of field work previous to these positions provided the foundation of knowledge required for success.
