The work scope managed was inspection planning, NDT, repair plans, weld repairs on many pressure vessels, pipes and mechanical equipment in the Fibreline equipment train from the digester to bleach tanks. In the Chemical plant a re-lining of the absorber was done and repairs/replacement of some FRP equipment in the salt cake filter process area. No LTA's or medical aids. Stress analysis for a 200 psi steam line addition and pressure reducing station to an existing steam distribution system in a metallurgical plant. Existing supports needed revising with the addition of this branch. System installed and commissioned. Root cause analysis of pump casing rupture and line breakage in the de-watering system of a two turbine hydroelectric dam. Analysis showed that impulse forces caused the failure and changes to standard operating procedures cured the problem. Show less

The end client was Zellstoff Celgar Pulp. Provide site representation for a Vancouver design firm during design of the Generator Acid Purification process. This involved obtaining site information and ensuring owners representatives made timely decisions as required by the project. As well, assisted owner in defining, procuring bids, and contract administration of a demolition project to remove existing equipment to make room for the new equipment.

Provide functional management for a department of 30 people. This involves setting and implementing standards and work practices, and staffing and resource management to all projects requiring the group’s services. The role determines who does the work and how the work is executed to meet the project requirements of what has to be done and by when. Additionally, act as study lead of a multi-discipline team producing capital cost estimates of varying levels for clients. Thompson, Inco, MB, Canada, :Manager of a feasibility estimate of adding a C$21M copper residue arsenic fixation circuit to produce a copper-rich material containing precious metals, which will be sent to the copper roaster. Nickel recovery is increased and a stable, fixed arsenic material is produced as a by-product for disposal. Project completed on time and budget.
