Over 6 years, I worked as a senior software engineer on a wide range of projects for major banking clients gaining exposure to many different technologies and approaches. Recognised for best practise work to become Deputy Practise Head within my department.I involved myself in the full client engagement process from pre-sales through to delivery to help promote the understanding of the client's challenge across the team to increase the probability of a successful outcome.I have worked extensively using BDD and TDD technologies and promote their appropriate use on new and existing projects, raising awareness of many of the common misconceptions at a theoretical and practical level.The majority of recently projects have involved HTML5/javascript on the client-side, using amongst others, angularJs and reactJs. Primarily worked as part of a large team developing the name-give-up back-office system, requiring detailed knowledge of the business areas. The system comprised of many applications written using several languages and technologies including C# (Winforms and WPF), VC++, C and VB, along with numerous COM componentsCo-developed the new back-office invoicing system written in C#. This was a large business critical project which required a highly flexible and scalable solution that could easily be extended to include other areas of the business in the future. This required global requirements gathering and analysis, along with a flexible approach to its design and implementation. Extensive use was made of NHibernate and messaging technologies.

Worked in a small software team developing a major cash warehouse system, written in VC++, used by major banking corporations around the worldI also individually developed several of the new projects as a result of outside hours work. All new projects were developed using C# and the .NET framework.
