Served in two positions with Amoco. Responsible for complete scope of capital project execution in an integrated specialty chemical and specialty polymers manufacturing facility. Cost estimation, contracting process, equipment selection, control of in-house and engineering contractor design efforts, directed field construction/QC supervision, project commissioning, and capital cost control for projects up to $1,500,000. Special training as an Amoco Process Hazards Analysis engineer, and as Team Quality Instructor. Certified Emergency Response and Hazmat Responder. Later held position as the Plant Environmental Engineer.

Over an 11 year period held positions of increasing responsibility in process engineering and operations troubleshooting and supervision, including operations management running continuous cyclohexane oxidation units; process development and design, project and business development economics analysis, and project implementation and startup in a world scale caprolactam manufacturing facility. Strong experience working with overseas research departments in the development, scale-up and implementation of process technology improvements. Also strong working experience with waste minimization and characterization studies, large-scale aerobic treatment systems and development work with anaerobic treatment systems.
