As Co-founder and Chief Consulting Officer for Access Strategy Partners Inc (ASPI), John advises medical device manufacturers and medical products and technology companies as well as healthcare providers on strategic planning, sales, education, marketing, national accounts strategy and more. ASPI connects innovative medical device companies with provider supply chain organizations, simplifying the acquisition of leading-edge technology. John and his team are skilled at assisting companies with defining their sales value proposition, meeting the requirements of Value Analysis Committees in providers, and scaling business for new, innovative products. John is recognized nationally as a visionary leader along the healthcare supply chain with extensive experience in healthcare providers, suppliers and service providers, education and group purchasing organizations. On October 4, 2011 the Bellwether League (Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Hall of Fame) honored John for “his outstanding contributions over the years to healthcare supply chain management, development, innovation and leadership.” John’s personal experience with both provider and manufacturer perspectives, plus his passion and frank viewpoints, makes him a popular voice on industry webinars and in publications, as well as at healthcare conferences nationwide. John spent the first half of his career in supply chain management on the provider side, ending with ten-years at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. There he and his team launched one of the first shared service organizations, including medical products distribution in the nation. John spent seven years in senior leadership positions at Premier, Inc. and for ten years was the founding president and CEO of Consorta, Inc. He spent seven years as an independent consultant prior to founding ASPI in 2018. John is an investor and serves on a number of advisory boards including www.supplyclinic.com and mentors start-ups and others. He also serves on the advisory board of MondoPoint a technology supplier that automates value based contracting for providers and suppliers. He also serves as Corporate Secretary at Lakeland Community Church, a 1,600 member congregation located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.John holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with Distinction from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a comprehensive major in Management, from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
