The website’s core is a Flash application for building family trees meant to compete with Geni (http://www.geni.com), but Arcalife takes the family tree concept to a new level by integrating it with social networking and by being the first genealogy website to use the FamilySearch API, an API that allows access to hundreds of thousands of family history records and documents, including death and birth certificates. Arcalife also allows you to import and recreate family tree structures with over 50 thousand people from GEDCOM files.
