Technical FellowIn GPS engineering since 1979 to 2000: Engineering: GPS/IMU integration (developed Kalman filter & H-Infinity tracking loop aiding), radar Doppler Velocity Sensor development & radar altimeter (patent), acousto-optic EW receiver signal processing, GPS system engineer & algorithm development. Core navigation and integrity (RAIM) algorithm development. RTCA chairman SC-159 WG-2 chiefly responsible for developing RTCA/DO-229 C and D, then co-chair (to current date).2000 to 2018 GPS product manager, then Product Director. Responsible for conceiving and bringing to market as slew of GPS Products: CMA-3024, CMA-5024, CMA-6024, CMA-4124, enabled "self-contained" LPV as an ILS replacement. During my tenure, the level of business increased 10-fold and became a significant part of CMC's gross annual sales.2018-2022 Director Systems Enginering, overhauled the engineering estimate process and integrated it with business case development. The estimate is the preliminary program plan and integrates all contractual deliverables.As of January 2023, Technical Fellow CMC Electronics. Focused on GNSS signal processing, spoofing detection (will be presenting a simple but effective "baseline spoofing detection" technique at ION-GNSS-2023), Multi-Constellation-Multi-Frequency (MCMF) Integrity algorithm development (formal publication to come) and various technical developments (GBAS, SBAS, and relative GNSS Landing System (RGLS) system/algorithm development). Dabbled in radar altimetry, have a "realizable paper design" that is 5G immune (as opposed to "tolerant") and non-ITARS but could be ITARS if desired.Support AEEC/ARINC, RTCA, EUROCAE, ICAO standards development at various working groups, member of the Institute of Navigation.
