John Sunder is a partner in the Miles & Stockbridge Corporate group. His practice focuses on a wide range of corporate law matters, with a focus on equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and negotiating commercial contracts. He has also represented secured creditors in the workout and restructuring of distressed debt as well as purchasers and sellers of assets under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code and applicable state law. Mr. Sunder also acts as outside general counsel to emerging growth and middle-market companies throughout the United States.Prior to practicing law, Mr. Sunder was a high school history and civics teacher and coach in the Howard County Public School System as well as a collegiate baseball coach.ACTIVITIESMr. Sunder is an active board member of the Next One Up foundation, the First Tee of Greater Baltimore, as well as a former board member of the Ulman Foundation and Digital Harbor Foundation. He has also been appointed as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University teaching Business Law I to undergraduates.
