After 30 years working overseas for major oil and power generation companies in roles ranging from construction superintendent through to commissioning engineer and always of course in exotic locations. They included the depths of the Niger Delta to the barren sand dunes of the Middle East and beyond. I finally decided I had seen too many airports and airplanes and had taken about all the medication and seen all the hospitals for maleria and worse that a body can stand.So at the end of 2008 I decided to hang my well worn boots up and call it quits. I had after all used up more lives than a cat.So what was I to do? Sit around all day and tell stories, not my style.I had a cousin who was four months older than me. We grew up together and were very close.
