Irish Sea Pioneer

On-site liaison and technical engineer/lead responsible for specialist vendor undertaking the major service life extension project on the 2 Irish Sea Pioneer (ISP) 25 year old Manitex ML-7200 Cranes. Role includes full management of scope, original CTR build and scope of work submissions to the client and following release for tender, technical bid review, budget controls, cost tracking and variations, arrangement of on-site dock yard & vessel support, vendor liaison, progress tracking, management and client update report submissions including identification of challenges & resolutions, completion of management of change records, collection of reports, records and certification to ensure the ISP Cranes are fully compliant and reach the required LOLER & ATEX standards and are suitable for IVB sign off for vessel certification.

Mobilised as the Offshore Construction Supervisor in support of a vessel based Walk to Work campaign utilising the Ampelmann gangway system to access the platforms. Project execution included 24 hour operations to deliver the cutting and air gapping of wells, installation of plugs, removal of flow line pipe work, installation of flushing equipment and execution of pipeline flushing in preparation for the full decommissioning and removal of 3 Southern North Sea gas platforms managed by Petrofac.

Shell Clipper Platform - Southern North Sea, Uk

Core crew Maintenance Tech responsible for the completion of preventative and corrective maintenance including fault diagnosis of Ex and Non-Ex electrical equipment, telecoms system and HVAC. Shell Cat 'C' Electrical Competency with Electrical Safety Rules for HV & LV.Electrical isolation and reinstatement of offshore equipment. Permit production, worksite control and management in accordance with the Permit to Work system (ISSOW / P-vision) and Shell regulations. Record keeping and Work Order completion.Notification production for reporting defects and future repair work requirements.Maintaining calibration of onsite specialist test equipment.Revision and correction of technical drawings, p&id and supporting technical documentation.

As a seismic technician I held responsibility for the mobilisation, installation, operation and maintenance/repair of a modulated (both inboard & outboard) active/digital seismic array & gun system. Mobilising globally for periods of up to 8 weeks, borne to client vessels, holding a shift cycle for 24hr operations and operating under the local Permit To Work regulations. Liaison with the Party Chief, Client Rep, Vessel Management & UK head office for all operational requirements and shortfalls.
