Created the PLC channel, the OFDM profiles, and the DOCSIS Time Protocol (DTP).- DOCSIS 4.0: FDX N+M (work started in 2014)- M-CMTS: Invented, contributed and shipped Modular CMTS, generating billions in revenue.- LLX: Low Latency Xhaul- Remote PHY: Invented and drove to standardization a new architecture for the cable industry. Setup an open source program for R-PHY Software. This included getting a sales forecast and raising $200 million of internal funding. RPHY is now a fundamental part of the cable HFC architecture.

- Mueslix ASIC. Lead engineer and managed a team that built and shipped the first full custom ASIC program at Cisco. The chip was a four port 52 Mbps serial chip called Mueslix. Wrote all Verilog for the serial interface. Far exceeded the original design specification. This chip was used for the next 10+ years in every Cisco product.- Cisco Smart Serial Interface: Invented, designed, and shipped the serial interface that is used on all Cisco routers. It combined 12 synchronous serial interfaces into one connector. (5in1, then 12in1). Worked with silicon manufacturers (Linear Technologies, Exar, Maxim) to design a universal serial chip.- Cisco 3000 Access Router: Designed and shipped. It supported Ethernet, serial, and ISDN.- AGS+ Link Controller card: Designed and shipped. It was a hand-designed 108 bit horizontally micro-coded multi-scaler computer architecture built out of discrete F logic chips.- HSSI (High Speed Serial Interface): Invented, designed and shipped a HSSI product for the AGS+. HSSI allowed the early internet to upgrade from 1.5 Mbps to 45 Mbps. HSSI was adopted by the entire industry. For 10-15 years, the entire internet backbone ran over HSSI.

- Designed, built, and shipped the 8750 PABX universal trunk card that worked in 12 countries in Europe. Original scope was 6 countries. Used early DSP based codec. - Designed, built, and shipped the 8750 PABX universal "Meter Pulse" card. This card collected 50 Hz, 12 kHz, and 16 KHz meter pulses from the trunk line for billing.- Re-designed the 8750 PABX international analog subscriber line card.- Developed a field method to redeploy ROLMLink in Europe. This involved characterizing cables on site and calculating the expected operating distance.- Designed, built, and shipped the 8750 PABX S/T ISDN line card.- Designed, built, and shipped a clock card for the 9750 PABX.
