I am responsible for creating and executing the enterprise-wide strategy for enabling cloud based IT solutions. This is done through a collaborative effort between executive Business and IT leadership. Highmark Health has spent many decades building a highly optimized and flexible wholly owned data center supporting the various business entities within the corporate family and their partners. We are now taking the journey to add cloud solutions from all the major players into our IT Portfolio. My team heads up the technology architecture reviews, helps set strategic direction, and oversees the comprehensive plan for achieving our multi-cloud goals.

My core responsibility is strategic planning for IT across the Highmark Health family of companies. I consult with IT and Business Leadership to make long term plans ensuring flexibility and alignment with future business technology needs. I am one of the founding members on our internal IT Quality Assurance programs. I work closely with our IT Security teams to ensure our systems and processes remain secure, yet adjustable. The scope of my engagements allows a wide-view of all aspects of the enterprise use of IT Services, from business, operations, finance, and strategic planning.My role within our dynamic Enterprise Architecture team allows me the opportunity to provide advisory services to many aspects of IT. Some of these advisory roles include: Solution Architecture, Service Portfolio Development, Financial Impact Analysis, Solution Engineering, Living Health, Technology Acquisition, and chairing the Cloud Architecture Team.In addition to my advisory roles, I also head the IT portions of M&A activities with our health plan partners. This includes all aspects of the programs from initial proposals, through budgeting and implementation. Most recently, this includes heading up the Highmark Health IT portions of the affiliation with Health Now of New York.
