I attended the University of Toledo and earned my PharmD in May of 2020. My experiences in school have given me the opportunity to explore several different areas of pharmacy including compounding, specialty, and managed care. Population health, quality measures, and cost savings were common themes that intrigued me during my time on rotations and I wish to explore these topics further. I have been with Walgreens pharmacy for over seven years. During the last 9 months I have been fortunate enough to work on the front lines as site coordinator for Walgreens’ first IDNow rapid covid testing drive thru site in the Toledo district as well as immunizing long term care residents with Pfizer’s covid-19 vaccine. Working in community pharmacy has helped to expand my medicinal knowledge as well as build relationships with patients and improve my teamwork skills. I am always willing to learn and recognize that in this field I will be learning the rest of my career.I have been fortunate enough to have participated in division 1 athletics as a member of the University of Toledo cross country program. The four years I spent with the team provided a unique experience that allowed me to learn how to manage my time, build lasting teamwork and communication skills, and to grow in my role as a leader.It's my goal to be the best pharmacist I can possibly be and I hope everyone else in our field feels the same way.
