About John Talmage

Since being a tour guide in high school and college, Jake has been engaged in the transition of students from one institution to another. While concentrating in marketing at William and Mary, he interned in the admission office and realized a passion for the college admission process. At first he worked in college admission at UVM and JHU before transitioning to the "other side of the desk." While he has been a leader and enjoyed working on both sides of the desk, Jake found a home on the high school side. As a college counselor, he balances his interests in working directly with students and their families through a time of great growth with considering school-wide and system wide issues. Furthermore, he balances his primary professional interests with coaching and family.
