I am a dedicated undergraduate student currently studying Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University. I found my passion in Electrical Engineering my freshman year after taking several Calculus and Physics classes. Math has always been my favorite subject, but I knew engineering would allow me to apply my knowledge and skills to something I enjoy doing. I really began to feel at home in my first semester in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department when I began taking Introductory to Electric Circuits. I enjoyed learning about circuit components and I knew at this point that I wanted to pursue a career in this field. I decided to pursue a co-op the end of my sophomore year because I wanted to gain valuable experience, as well as, learn more about my field from engineering professionals. I decided to take a position with Crowder Construction because I felt that this position would allow me to gain valuable experience and contribute immediately. I particularly enjoyed my first rotation because I was able to work closely with Professional Engineers and Estimators and gain insight into the electrical aspects of the construction industry.I look forward to returning to Crowder Construction this summer where I will be working as an Engineering Co-op at their South Durham jobsite. I am excited to apply my skills and knowledge to help the Project Managers complete the tasks at hand.
