We have created filmed, edited, and writting a youtube reality video series called "LOVE...OFF THE GRID" covering self sufficiency, solar energy, organic farming, free range livestock, etc. Also work on 2 full length documentary films, Also recording and writing original music for scoring films and possibly release. "Granny Oakley" i(c) is about an 80 year old handicapped woman who has opened her own shooting range for people with handicaps. She continues to overcome he handicaps with an indomitable spirit. We are becoming expert at filming HD quality short features, editing with I MOVIE and Final Cut Express. We are also using Garage Band and plan to purchase Pro Tools for a home recording studio for post productions for the movies and for original recordings.

City Of Stuart Fire Rescue

I started with the City of Stuart as a Paramedic only and within 3 mo. became the Rescue training officer for the department. I then attended Fire Academy at IRCC in 1994 and obtained my Florida State Fire certification. Over the period of 1993 to 2000 I obtained my Fire Officer One Certification, tested for Lt. and Battalion Chief over this period. I was promoted to Lt. in 2000. During the last 11 years of my service I functioned on a regular basis as an Acting Battalion Chief with all the associated training and responsibilities. During the period from 2000 until my retirement I took many classes and currently, I am one math class away from an AS degree in EMS management and Fire Science. I also was honored to attend the National Fire Academy where I obtained a certification in Advanced Life Support for Hazardous Materials or TOX MEDIC. Also during this time I functioned as the Public Information Officer for the City of Stuart Fire Department.PIO duties included writing press releases, arranging and participating in press coverage, as well as public outreach programs within the city. I also produced videos for the department on various subjects including a proposal for a third station in the city.My overall career with the City of Stuart was the pinnacle of my life. My interaction with the members of the department from the Fire Chief to the rookie firefighters, is something that I will be proud of always. The experience of going from an entry level in 1993 to functioning as the head of the combat administration Battalion Chief is also something that I will always treasure and have pride in. I truly believe I left the department in a better state than I found it.Injured in the line of duty, retired due to injury March 2011. Sure do miss it. Now own a 42 acre farm in Virginia, Organic farmer, solar farmer, Documentary film maker, musician, writer, still have Paramedic cert and all Fire Officer certs. Plan to possibly teach in the future.
