Maintain the physical security of the institution through installation, maintenance and repairs of an array of electronic systems including, PBX telephone switch, trunked radio systems, fire alarm systems, perimeter detection systems, programmable logic controllers and CCTV/DVR systems. Maintain, develop modifications, and ensure the reliability of the institution's electronic security and communication systems.Provide technical support during the preparation of drawings and specifications for electronic and telecommunication equipment.Conduct inspections and performs preventive maintenance.

Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot tactical radio systems and antennas. Employ tactical radio systems in garrison and deployed environments to establish secure voice, data, and satellite communications networks. Supervise the use of Cryptographic material and Controlled Cryptographic Items. Conduct preventive maintenance procedures on radio systems, antennas, and accessories to maintain good working order and mission readiness. Train junior Marines in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of High Frequency, Very High Frequency, Ultra High Frequency, and Satellite Communications tactical radio systems and antennas.

Install basic and digital cable, high speed internet, and digital phone services at customer premises. Troubleshoot and repair broadband services at customer premises and on a distribution system. Splice and tip coaxial cable, twisted pair wire and fiber optic cable. Educate customers on services and equipment usage.
