As an intern in the Survey Department with Ames Construction, I was able to learn a lot about the many aspects of the construction process. Throughout my internship, I spent a majority of my time utilizing Trimble Business Center to create 3D models for GPS machines and rovers. These models are used by field crews to layout roadways, pipe, borrow pits, etc. I also utilized Trimble Business Center to perform takeoffs and do quantity tracking. My responsibilities also included site calibrations of survey equipment and base stations for GPS equipment.

Seasons Dining Center, Ames, IA- Supervisor (Nov. 2016-Apr. 2019) As a supervisor, I'm required to learn how to work and manage all areas and venues in the dining center. This involves preparing food and making sure food is always readily available for the customers, keeping the area clean and opening and closing each venue. We also have to train new employees in the areas we are working. During a normal shift I'm in charge of a single venue or the dish room and up to six or seven student workers, which I have to delegate tasks to to make sure everything gets done efficiently and correctly.
