I am managing director of Birmingham Properties Group, where I jointly own and run the residential and mixed-use development side of the business. My main focus is on the acquisition of land and buildings with or without planning permission.BPG is focused on delivering innovative, high quality mixed-use development schemes and student residential accommodationI joined BPG in 2005 as a shareholder and Director. During this time I have been involved in a diverse range of projects including:• Kensington House, Birmingham – a fully let 130+ student accommodation development which opened in September 2015, having been converted from offices; • Bromsgrove Street, a site in the Southside area of Birmingham city centre, which we are developing into a 140 bed student scheme;• Moseley Central, a mixed use, commercial and residential scheme currently under development, comprising 46 luxury apartments and ground floor commercial units measuring 2,500 sq ft;• One7Two Edmund Street, Birmingham – a 11,500 sq ft fully let, Grade A office development which we acquired in 2006, redeveloped and sold to Canada Life in September 2015 in an off-market deal;• Poor Clare’s Convent, Baddesley, Warwickshire – an upmarket development of 17 houses keeping many of the original features and 6 new build dwellings within the grounds of the converted convent. We sold the site with planning permission in December 2015;• High Street Harborne – a residential scheme of 84 apartments and town houses which we developed on behalf of Anglo Irish Bank, and which was full sold prior to completion. We then completed further 110 unit residential tower scheme on behalf of the bank in Bedfordshire.
