In my role, I specialized in the installation, configuration, and management of Oracle Database 11gR2 and Oracle Application Express Developer, ensuring optimal database performance and streamlined development processes. I established and managed connections to remote DB2 servers using unixODBC, and efficiently handled Oracle schema and tablespace creation, along with granting necessary permissions. My daily tasks involved developing SQL queries and web-based reports using Oracle APEX, as well as creating and maintaining web-based order entry and inventory replenishment systems. Additionally, I automated data transmission to remote FTP servers using Oracle UTL_TCP and administered a variety of Windows 2008 and Linux servers. My responsibilities also extended to configuring VPN tunnels using Cisco ASA/PIX hardware, mapping EDI documents with Extol Integrator, and making strategic changes to Cisco ASA firewall settings to meet business requirements.
