Managing a 70 MW Datacenter and the Hub Rooms, provide Resource Management & Optimization (Space, Power & Cooling). Played a major part in helping implement the new datacenter for Morningstar Mumbai.Managing ESX Servers and VM’s through Vsphere vCenter. Creating and deploying Virtual Machines using templates. Work on P2V conversions.Worked on infrastructure projects - new server builds, upgrades, server hardening, Storage Implementation, ESX Build outs, Cisco Switch Configuration and new software evaluations.Work on Morningstar Datacenter in Frankfurt and London.Research and implement new technologies as needed. Plan, implement and enforce compliance policies.Be the face of the IT Team in Mumbai, and be a link with the different operations teams and ensure a smooth functioning of the IT Operations in India. Establish and maintain communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, project manager, SBUs head, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.Taking ownership of the IT Infrastructure in Morningstar India, respond to any emergencies and get involved in resolving the issue 24/7. Work and Support to process team for project deliveries on 24/7 basis and retain good relationships with all process team.Working on Process and procedures to follow the ITIL standards. Well versed with ITIL processes and practices and implement the same.Coordinating with Vendors for purchases of IT equipment’s and services. Negotiate with vendors on contracts and various licenses being used as part of the IT infrastructure.Oversee all electricity Infrastructure, UPS and DG Gensets for power back and ensure business continuity in case of power failure.Managing and working on HP Blade Servers, HP Storage Boxes and RAID technologies.
